Whether you want to keep costs down, you aren’t sure how to entertain children or your venue doesn’t allow under-eighteens, not having children at a wedding is becoming increasingly popular.
Although letting guests know that their children aren’t invited can be awkward.
Although trust me – anyone who is married will compltley get it. We all have a budget or other boundries when we are planning the big day.
I think that it is always best to be upfront about your reasoning, perhaps you’re worried that children will get bored or you have a tight budget and need to cut costs. You might think parents will be offended by a “no-kids” policy.
But it is often the opposite, and is appreciated as it gives guests with small children an excuse to get a baby sitter and enjoy a night out as a couple.
Stay firm on the rules. A “no children” policy at your wedding needs to be an all-or-nothing rule, if you invite those closest to you with their children you may offend other parents.

Most people will happily accept your policy and appreciate that it is your day and so your wishes come first.
